bump on head

my child has a bump on his head for about months now, the doctor treated it by giving him an antibiotic(co-amoxiclav) for 1 week, but there was no change on the size of the bump after a week and my child complaint of pain on his bump when it was touch. what it is?

When you say he has a bump do you mean from hitting his head or is it a lump that has grown, where on his head is it situated? Did the doctor feel it was an infection to be giving him an anti biotic?

the bump possibly from hitting his head, it is located on the center of his head and i brought him to doctor last week there is a small would so i think the doctor think that it is an infection but yesterday after his followup check up the doctor inject a syringe in order to check whether it a  water or a blood but they didn't get anything from his bump. we are advice to observe him and bring him next week for a minor operation.

If he seems to deteriorate mean time take him to the hospital, does he seem well otherwise ?

yesterday he told me that his bump was smaller as compare before hopefully it will continue to improve.

Thats good news ..makes you feel better must have been an infection after he hit his head.glad to hear hes doing okay .

thank you margypops, actually i accompanied him yesterday to his doctor and doctor said that he doesn't need an operation because the bump is smaller now, all we need is to see a dermatologist because the area with bump doesn't have hair due to stress he said. wohooo big relief.
