My son has to pull back his          when washing his penis. He is nine yrs old. Can it be that he needs to be circumsized again? Should I be concerned about this?

Hello everyone, your concerns are very valid and I hope I can help you. I will suggest one simple cure to all the problems I’m coming across in regards to circumcision and it is ‘’LEAVE THE PENIS ALONE IF ITS NOT NECESSARY TO CISCUMCISE IN THE FIRST PLACE’’ my concern is why everyone is so concerned about this medical procedure? It is a healthy practice but it also has its negative effects once your children have done this they will never be able to correct any damages  in their adult lives if more damage is done  than good. Allow your children breathing space a lot of medical procedures we submit them to are often unnecessary and cost a lot of money.  My advice to you is to allow your children to blossom and have a healthy life. Also to the mother that s concerned about possible damages done  to  her 4 year old child is to seek medical help,  but! do not take him back to the doctor just to be cut again, not knowing the significant damages you may be causing, also it maybe strange to say what I’m about to say, and I maybe the first to say so in the world, and that is, You can also take your child to a sex therapist, a qualified one who has a major in the sciences are a medical degree MD. That specializes in sexual therapy, this person would be more than capable in guiding you into solving your nervous situations about surgery and mutilation of the genitals, they can also tell you if you have just damaged something that would have given your son or daughter sexual longevity, as they are trained in these identifiable areas of sexual health which is your  base concern and also sexual reproductively health , so you are looking for not only a sex therapist  but a one who has experience in  medicine that can give a valued anatomical medical reference; although many therapist are trained in these areas . Try that out see what the therapist has to say about what you have cut on the penis and what did not need to change, remember, ‘’only a qualified physician should conduct any medical  procedure on your children, Nb.  ‘’surgeon or physician’’, so don’t allow anyone you have consulted to do so if they are not qualified.  Have a good day shalom

My son was born "naturally circumsized".  But at 9 months old, he did need surgery to correct it since he had SO much skin and just to straight in more.

He's now 4 years old and to me, it doesn't look like ANYTHING changed with his penis.  There's SO much skin still, there's scar tissue...it just doesn't look right.  He told me he does have feeling in it when he goes to the bathroom, so that's a good thing...

I was just thinking the same thing.  Am I going to have to take him BACK to that doctor that's 5 hours away and get this fixed, or should I wait until my son is older and make that decision himself!!?  Maybe and HOPEFULLY when our boys hit puberty, maybe they will just grow into it...LOL  I don't know really know what to do or to think because I already went through the surgery.  Honestly doesn't help =(

Good luck.  I would just wait it out.  If its REALLY bad, let his Ped. see it and see what they think.

He should consider himself lucky that they didn't cut off too much skin. Some looseness is needed to cover the penis as it grows, and I suppose these days doctors realize that. They didn't when I was a baby - by the time I was a teenager, the skin was tight as a drum whenever I got erections, and I've talked with others who said it was tight enough to be painful.

This should be of no concern to you. Remember that circumcision was unnecessary in the first place.
