fever goes down at night, comes back during the day

Hi,

My daughter has had a fever for a couple days. Nothing horribly high, 101.7 at its highest. I haven't given her meds for it because she has been acting fairly normal, complaining off and on of a sore throat but eating and playing normally.
I am just wondering if there is any reason for her fever to go down at night and creep back up once she gets up. This has happened with a several times over the last year or so. It just strikes me as odd because usually a child's fever goes up at night. I haven't taken her to her doc yet. I probably will tomorrow if the fever returns.

I agree with Lucious, I know there have been some strange virus's going round and children have had  a bad year, has she been coughing?

It might be an infection. Best to take her to the doctor as this already happened several times last year.
