my daughter who is 18 months developed a minor case of hives 2 1/2 days ago.  The only thing new in her routine was I started giving her some pediasure and have now stopped.  If this might be the cause for the hives,  does anyone know how long it would take for the hives to go away?

Hi. My 2 1/2 year old got hives for the first time with no reason for the cause of it. I didnt know what it was and rushed her to the doctor. He gave me a course of antibiotics and that fixed it up in no time. She is nearly four now and has never had them again! yay! A common cause of hives is cows milk but this wasnt the case with my daughter. So you might need some medicine to clear it up. Good luck!
