reacuring sickness

hi, my 2 year old son has been sick alot since he was 6 months , he has had 20 or more feberal seizours with all the test being done and came back normal, iv been trying to research other reasons for his sickness, the only answers the docotors give me is he will grow out of being sick and the seizours, but im worried about if he may have a illness..... the last blood test he had done i got a copie of the report and his wbc was as follow.....
neautrophils 18
wbc 3.5,
monocytes 16
neutrophils ( absolute ) 0.6 had and alert beside it
immunoglobulins A , qn,serum  144

his doctor had it repeted in a week it was normal, so he said nothing was wrong, but everytime he is sick he will have a seizour and his blood count is alwasy off... i just wanna know 100 % sure he doesnt have an  illness, but the doctors dont sound concerned at all, please help , anyone. thank you

we now all there is to know about the seizures, thats not our concern and meds doesnt help control them, no matter how hard we tried to prevent them with  tylenol and motrin , lukewarm baths, light cloths and all the good stuff it never works he still has a seizure and the doctors have not checked him over and over,  they take one look at him and say well he looks fine and he will grow out of this, the only blood test thats ever done is a cbc and cultures, the doctors will not listen to me when i say im scared its more then that, maybe im over reacting but id rather be safe and  know 100% sure he has nothing wrong then to do nothing, of course im not a doctor so i dont know anything other then what iv been told and research and there is like a million things it could be, i just need some guide on where to start ,but cant seem to find the right doctor, however iv been told i should see a hemotology doctor so im looking into that, thank you for your response and God bless

Febrile seizures happen when a child has a sudden rise in temperature - their brain can't handle it, and they have a convulsion. The biggest cause for temperature in young children is infection, and children pick up a LOT of infections.

His blood test results are not something that you should be unduly concerned about. If he has an infection of any sort, his blood count will be "off". In cases of viral infections, the WBC is often slightly lower than normal, in bacterial infections the WBC and particularly the neutrophils can be very high.

The most important thing for you to do, is try to control his temperature when he is ill. It's the sudden rise in temperature you need to try to avoid, so whenever he is unwell, make sure you keep him dosed up on paracetamol (acetaminophen) and ibuprofen (motrin). Strip him down to just a nappy, let him play around the house just in that, or in a nappy and a vest.

The fact that he has had so many febrile seizures means that the doctors WILL have checked him over and over for any serious underlying conditions. Try not to worry about it so much, the fact that he has had lots of blood tests means they would have picked up on anything that was going on.
