traveling with newborn

When is too soon to be traveling with a newborn baby?  What are the possible complications with taking a one week old on a 24hr road trip...what is the recommended age for travel such as this?

I think  you should ask your pediatrician.  I thought the rule of thumb is no real travel until 6 weeks old - this child is just a teeny newborn with no immune system whatsoever.

BTW,  you might want to change your profile.  It says "male".

Baby's sleep most of the day anyway. Just be sure you have all the supplies you will need. Bottled water, formula, diapers, wipes, burp rags, and blankets to keep the baby warm. All of mine (3) did just fine. Congrats and good luck!
