Puking and diarrhea every night same time

My 5 yr old son is waking up at 1-2 am every night for the past 13 days complaining about stomach pains.  Then for about 30 min he will vomit and have diarrhea.  After he is done he will be completely fine the entire next day.  Normal appetite, normal energy, no fever.  Then  process repeats.  Any ideas out there? We are waiting for lab results from a stool sample.  The rest of our family did get a 2 day bout of diarrhea around the same time he got his symptoms.  Also I did read a post from 2012 that were his exact symptoms but there aren’t any answers to the post
