I might get hate for this answer because there are a lot of objective, science minded folks on this forum, but I'll answer anyways. The best thing for me is too simply not think about PATM whatsoever. Go out, live life - I find that if I'm out and having fun, my PATM mostly disappears. I'm not sure if it's a placebo, but thinking that positive thoughts definitely helps. I obviously can't do this all the time so there are steps that help me.
Removing stomach irritants like gluten, dairy, and alcohol helps reduce my PATM symptoms. Moreover, taking probiotics or drinking kombucha somewhat helps. Hot tea during meals increase stomach acid and improves digestion. As a community I think we can conclude that something in our guts is messed up. However, it's important to put this into context.
I've had blood work done and they found no vitamin deficiencies or kidney issues. I run 2 miles almost every day and eat healthy. I don't smoke or drink. Some posters have tested positive for H. Pylori and leaky gut. Ok, I believe them but tens of millions of people have these problems. If our bodies were so carcinogenic that we make people convulse across an auditorium, than we would be dead by now. Even the most hardcore drug users don't have this problem.
We will only ever solve this if two people with PATM meet in person. If we react to each other, we can feel what's it's like on the "other side." I had a much longer response written but it got deleted, this forum interface *****. Anyways, good luck. Think positive.
