Does anyone have problems with their baby's bowel habits?  She will go 4 or 5 days without one and scream daily...she is now on BioGia and she goes every day or 2...HELP!

My son goes once every 2 or 3 days and I was told by my doc that 4 to 5 days is normal.

My son has issues. He's exclusively breastfed and normally only goes about every other day but he hasn't gone now since LAST Monday!! He's been cranky all week and it's been terrible. I think he's going through a growth spurt though and I've been told that breastfed babies can go up to 10 days without pooping!
What's BioGia? Probiotics? I've been giving my son probiotics in a bottle every day for the last 4 days and this has helped him with the crankiness.

If she's going every day or two that's not a problem, my dr said going up to 4 days without a bowel movement was normal. My son was formula fed and wouldn't go every day, he'd go on once every 2-4 days. My daughter on the other hand is exclusively breast fed and goes at least three times a day. You can always call your dr if you're concerned. You didn't say if she's trying to go to the bathroom when she screams, if she is I'd call and set up an appointment just to get her checked out.
