returning to work

For moms who returned back to work, how did you handle it?  Im stressing out and I think I'm gettjng anxiety. My husband will be taking care of him but I wish it were me. I'm the mom. To make matters worse his mom works nights and she'll be home with baby as well and I feel like I can't trust her. This week she said she was going to take my baby to Mexico and just leave. I told her I would call the police and she just laughed. I asked my husband and he said she was joking.  But how can you say that when you are a mother yourself. I really can't handle her anymore.

I'm jealous I will be returning to 4 days 10 hrs each day. But at least it will teach me to spend the most time with my LO and not take even diaper changes for granted.

How was it going back? My anxiety has subsided some and I'm hoping I don't take it too bad as time gets near.

I went back to work 3 weeks after my daughter was born, so I went back yesterday, I'm comfortable with leaving my daughter at home with her daddy. We have like reversed roles, I work and he takes care of the house. I'm sorry to hear that your mother in law is like that, I wish you all the best

Lucky you! We talked it over last night and honestly the main reason I'll be returning is because I make more money than he does. And to have to pay child care doesn't make sense. He knows the baby isn't allowed to go any where alone with that women. And the base is to remain in our truck so she doesn't get any ideas.

I'm lucky because I've always been able to take my children with me since I work in childcare. I'm sure your husband will do a good job caring for him. Think of it as good bonding time for the two of them. As for your mil I'm sure she was trying to be funny even though it wasn't. Some people just don't think before they speak.
