I noticed lots of little things, like I started growing hair on my chin (freaky for a woman!), my face was breaking out bad and I was getting acne in places I never have, like my neck. I haven't had a period in about 11 months, and I don't think I've had a regular period since I was like 16 (I'm 22 now).
After putting it off for months and months, I went to the doctor. He says he thinks I have PCOS. I go back tomorrow for bloodwork.
I have a question though. A couple months ago, I decided to take some birth control pills from a while ago just to see if I'd have my period. A few days later, I started having one so bad that I was concerned about the blood loss. I have never, ever had anything that extreme. I could barely leave the house. Of course, I stopped taking them right away. Anyone ever had such a reaction to birth control pills? If so, I'm not even so sure I WANT to be treated! :(
The fact that (if I have PCOS) I may never have children makes me really sad though.
