Sounds like you may have developed a cyst, which would cause very bad pain. I think for some cysts are more painful around the time or during your period. Could also be fribrods (sp?) which are tumors but they are NOT cancerous. Please keep us informed on your condition and I will be around to help out with any questions you may have.
This is the first time i have had pain like this and the doctor said i am menstrating but i've had this pain for like 5 days. I've been told i have to have a scan but he didnt say what for. I'm just worried as it's like the first time i have felt this much pain.
Are your periods painful? Cramps are assciated with pcos. I use to suffer from horrible cramps throughout the month before my period came on. My cramps have eased up since starting bc pills and metformin. Other symptoms of pcos, include (and may not be limited too)....irregular periods/missing periods/heavy periods, overweight (but can be thin and still have pcos), excess hair (mostly on face), cysts on the ovaries (but cysts DO NOT have to be present to be considered having pcos), elevated blood test results (hormones and possible sugar levels).
