I just started metformin with provera and once I get my period, I have to take letrozole(femara). I pray it works for me because I really want a child. The side effects are horrible but when I eat and exercise, I feel alot better :)

I conceived 2 months after starting metformin.  I'm 3 months now and still taking it.  Baby is happy and healthy! Make sure they have you on the right dosage. Minimum of 1500mg a day is usually suggested

I'm currently on metrofrmin as well, I just started my 3 month, I'm glad to hear your success! My dr said that I am not ovulating enough to get pregnant so hopefully it will start to help us soon. Is it better to buy the ovulation kits or track your temp to see when your ovulating. Which has worked best for you ladies?

You keep taking it until week 12! Pcos is also a cause for low to no milk supply. As hard as I tried I couldn't breastfeed. I was reading that metformin can help with your supply, so with this one I will start as soon as baby is delivered!

Yes stay on the metformin! I became pregnant the third month of taking it (with two m/c prior) my son is now almost 8 months and im currently 3 months pregnant!  I got back on metformin about 2 months after he was born! Its been my lifesaver!  Allowing me to loose weight and become a mother! Good luck! Side affects can be Soooo not fun, but stick it out and you will not be sorry!

Stay on the metformin! And I took clomid for 6 months, and nothing. They have a new fertility drug out, ask your doctor. And download the My period tracker on your phone. It tells you when you will ovulate and when your highest peak for fertilty is! And lynleyellen, congrats on your pregnacy!!

I conceived 3 months after being diagnosed and put on metformin, but I was on clomid also for the last two months of the 3. I'm 34 weeks now, expecting Easter weekend. Good luck!

It definitely helped that we timed intercourse with my ovulation according to my basal body temperature. If you're not tracking yours yet, I highly recommend it.
