PCOS Diet Help

I have PCOS and in my first round if fertility treatments.  I am going on a missions trip to inner city Chicago and I need ideas for easy snacks and breakfasts I can have packed in my suit case!  Most meals served there are high carbs and simple sugars. The trip is 10 days long and I'm just starting Provera so i would like to keep my levels and hormones as in control as possible.  I may not have access to a fridge or stove.  Any  ideas for foods that will keep in my suit case and will help me to avoid all the carbs the make. They cook for over 200 people so a lot of the food is easy carbs.  Thanks!  Here's to TTC #1 :)

Hello,
PCOS has often been linked to obesity and increase in fried or oily foods may increase the symptoms. Take more of fruits, salads and vegetables. Take the meals at high intervals, more of fiber rich diet and foods containing healthy fats (olive oil, nuts, fish). Also you can consult your doctor and start the medical treatment for PCOS comprising of Metformin and Diane.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
