pcos

hi i am 19 yrs old and have pcos . my gynacoelogist has prescribed me ginette 35 but i feel nauseous everyday and have also gained weight. is there any alternative medicine with less side effects?

i have a wonderful christian intelligent doctor im on spirolactone and metformin read about it as far as cysts i had 200 the last two days i could actually count them no-stop but everyone is different thats medicine has made a world of difference for me!

Let your doctor know your symptoms.  I also have PCOS and was diagnosed at age 19, with my doctor putting me on metformin. I was sick everyday and also gained weight.  The weight gain though is probably more from the PCOS then the medicine, if you do an research on PCOS you will find that one of the symptoms is weight gain especially around your mid section.  Do some online research and talk with your doctor about how you are feeling.  I did not take the metformin for long and don't take anything currently and it's been 8 years, you just need to watch you insulin levels.  Angie
