PCOS is a tragic for me

I was diagnosis with PCOS when I was 19 years old, but it started when I was 17 years old but the doctors at that time didn't know what was wrong with me. Two ultrasounds, two screening of my cervix and a LEEP tretment later I now found a doctor at 28 years old who put me on Metformin and want me to lose about 20 pounds. I never been overweight as a teen or in my early 20's one day at age 23 I was 148 and I went to 188 in two months and now five years later I'm at 197. Now I'm on the metformin and starting to workout more and eat healthier. It have been a real frustrating process to concieve a baby. I was a three yeas relationship and we broke up and I think it had part to do with me not being able to concieve and now he is about to be a father in 4 months. I've been so sad about what I have to go through to have a baby. I've achieve  alot of things in my life I wanted to except achieve having a family of my own. I hope with the treatment I'm doing now I one day will be happy with my own family. Anybody with PCOS please let me know some of the things you did to concieve. Thanks! I'm in the Pittsburgh PA area.

I have PCOS, was diagnosed over 6years ago in high school. I didnt worry about being regular or wanting children, I was content with out. I never had a regular cycle since day one in 1998. Then starting in 2005 I worked out for 6months to loose weight for the big 21 in 2006. I became regular to a 28 cycle and had lost 40 pounds. The last time I did a weight in was April of 2006.

I went out drinking for my 21st in July 2006. 3 days later I was still sick, everything around me made me nuaseated. I was pregnant on my own, unplanned and not married.

Here it is 2 years after my son was born (I had mirena placed when he was 6 weeks old) and my HUSBAND and I are trying for a baby of our own. I am only 2 weeks post removal, but kind of scared that PCOS is hurting my chances. I am super emotional and think I am ovulating this week!! But I cant really tell cause the 2 years I had it, no period at all.

You never know what can happen with PCOS.. the tried many drugs and bc to get me regular it never worked. So try again... after a while it may happen. Or just try to loose weight- then when you feel good and look good you'll gain baby weight- LOL
