Everywhere I look they say pregnancy with pcos is possible. So i will tell you yes to your question even though i am in no way medically certified. What are your pcos symptoms? Do you even know if you ovulate?
Um my systoms arent that great. Im not really hairy or anything, sometimes i get pinching pains where my ovaries are.... i dont know. But yes i know what to look for when im ovulating and everything is on time as far as my last ovulation but i am eight days late for my period so as soon as i cant get in to the doctor i am going to get an appointment.
i was diagnosed with pcos last year. i have always had problems with my periods, sometimes i would bleed for a month at a time then no period for months. my doctor at the time put me on birth control and assured me that i would be able to get pregnant. a few months later when my fiance and i wanted to start trying we went to see a new doctor who put me on metformin and clomid because she said i probably wasnt ovulating. three months later, here i am pregnant! 6 weeks today! so it is possible, i know its scary but hang in there! i think going to a doctor is a good idea.
I recently was diagnosed with PCOS also, and honestly I believe that I have had it since I was about 18 I am now 28 with an adorable 3 year old boy. They told me that its a miracle that I even got pregnant, however Red Rasberry Leaf tea and Chaste Berry Tea Vitox where both recommended to me by my Reiki teacher. Both teas are safe, help the cervix and prepare your body for pregnancy. I would give it a try and see what happens.
Hi,
Just a comment. If you have hypothryoid you need to be on medication if you want to have a baby. it is very important to have normal thyroid levels during pregnancy. If your thyroid levels aren't normal the baby may not develop properly and can have brain damage.
Please get your thyroid levels check and take this med.
I have PCOS and hypothyroid and I am now 10 weeks pregnant and everything is looking very good so far.

i have been married for 8 yrs i have PCOs and no babies. I am going to begin IVF as that is the only way for me . I tried the injectables once before and i hyper stimiluted so i think every one is different . oh i also had overian drilling and that did not work also.
I had my first son back in 2000 when I was 20. I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS until 4 years ago when I couldn't get pregnant again. I was tested for a ton of stuff, as was my husband. After ruling out everything from cervical cancer to endo, I was told that in addition to PCOS, I also have a tipped uterus. The doctor gave me a pessarie and told me it should help, then tried to put me on birth control pills.
Three and a half years and a ton of medications later, I found a new doctor that said the pessarie was only used in rare cases, and that on Clomid I would be able to ovulate and have a better chance of getting pregnant. Right now I'm 33 weeks pregnant and counting down the days until this baby boy is born!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Just make sure that you have a doctor that is willing to listen and help you achieve your goal of pregnancy. If yours won't listen, find a new one that will. Good Luck!!!
Hi,
Okay most of you have said things that helped a bit, i was diagnosed when i was 18 with PCOS and was put on birthcontrol, i have been offthe birth control since September last year, i am 23 years old and have been trying to fall pregnant for about 8 months. I went to a doctor here who gave me a hormone injection that made everything worst, she told me my chances of ever having kids is slim. I phoned my doctor back home and he told me when i get home next weeknd he has scheduled me for a D&C. He said after that i will be able to get pregnant. I am getting married in 32 days and my husband and i really want a baby. Will this really help me? Please advise.
I was disgnosed in 2004, put on metformin and Yasmin ( I didn't want to get pregnant at the time). I stopped Yasmin 3 months before I wanted to start trying, It took 3 months, but got pregnant with my now 2 year old son. I was on Metformin up to the 16th week and them went off and had a wonderful baby boy. I think the key for me was trying to get my cycles going, taking prenatals and watching my diet.
We are currently trying for #2, but I don't think I'm ovulating so I may have to see the Dr about Clomid.
Good luck to all those out there trying.
