i agree the exercise will help tremendously, and oddly enough (for me at least) it slowed the hair growth. now, when i say exercise please do not get discouraged. I literally WALKED away the pounds. Walking can work wonders. I got on a tredmill and walked for 20 minutes. a week later i increased the speed by a few and walked another 20 minutes. occassionally i went to water aerobics and did a yoga class but that is it! if you cant make it to a gym walk around your neighborhood. The key is getting your heart rate going. Do not take a lazy walk :) increase your speed, as you feel out of breath slow down, once you catch your breath speed up again, ect....

Have they given you meds for the pcos? i was put on metformin (DO NOT USE IF YOUR SEXUALLY ACTIVE AND DO NOT WANT TO GET PREGNANT) and it helped me shed the pounds and slow the hair growth. Although it will not make the hair you now have go away, it will slow the growth of new hair. If you do not want to get pregnant and are sexually active, i suggest birth control, it does the same things as metformin but provides the birth control.

hair you have now- DO NOT SHAVE! i find it makes my hair coarser, thicker, and grows back quickly. I have it on my chin and neck. I pluck the hairs out (so time consuming) and wax. I have an at home wax kit (prewaxed pieces of paper -looks like tape) and pull it off.... to be effective hair has to be a little long, however it works wonders pulling out the little budding follicles that are starting the new growth. Using both of these gives me a week or two before i have to pluck/wax again.

I agree exercise will help a lot with your depression. I remember at you age (I’m only 28 now) having depression and how difficult it was to hide the extra hair including on your face. I learned never to allow my best friend to talk me into letter her wax or hair gone my upper lip again. Now I just use a non abrasive electric razor from my husband’s shaving/trimmer set that he has. After I do my upper lip or anywhere on my face I put Chap Stick (non-scented, non-flavor, or CarMax). I found it soothed the area much more than lotion. Back to exercise it will also help with the extra hormones that you have built up from PCOS. Plus it will help with the weight issue. I’m working out as much as I can no less than three times a week and I have lost 35lbs in 6 months. Just like a bunch of us have to find a life changing diet and exercise. I know it will be hard when you are in college but just try your best and remember to have fun. College is a place to learn and to have fun.

Im 16 with a similar problem. I have hair everywhere including my face. I suggest not shaving at all, it makes things worse. You might want to try waxing to see if it works for you on your legs and arms only. I have hair on my chest, stomach , back as well. I leave my stomach and chest alone so the hair is light. For the bottom part of your back, you cod wax it at the salon. It will be gone for 2-3 weeks. Also try to find an at homr lasar hair removal and test it on your legs and arms. I will do this with a product called the No!no! Please let me know what you decide to do, Its hard dealing with something ****** like this when u already have lots on ur mind.
***also i forgot to mention, EXCERCISE. The benefits are endless! Push your self to workout everyother day for 30-60 minutes. The pain u feel when u excercise will later give you relaxation when you get home. Smile and have fun, your not alone
