pcos and pregnancy

hello all. i just wanted to let everyone know that you can get pregnant naturally with pcos. i was dx with pcos in late 2006. i wasn't getting a period when i went off the pill to get pregnant. i was going 3 months without a period. i was put on clomid for 5 months but didn't even O on that. the next step was IUI which my husband and i just couldn't afford at the time. i had read that even minimal weight loss (weight gain was my other major symptom) could bring on ovulation. so i changed my diet and tried to cut out as much processed sugar as possible. i lost weight (2 sizes not sure how many pounds) and my period starting showing on its on. i went from 11 weeks, to 8 weeks, to 5 weeks. i am now 20 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby BOY! i just wanted to let any of you with PCOS who are trying to get pregnant know, don't give up!

my husband and i tried for 2 years and it was very difficult. but since we couldn't afford the next step we didn't really have any choice but to see what happened. i wasn't even convinced that losing weight would help i just figured it wouldn't hurt. i stopped taking ovulating predictor tests and just told myself what happens, happens. i hope this is your month too!! good luck
