pcos impact on period

hello ladies, I was wondering if someone here has to deal with pcos. What I wanted to ask about is if it is common that my period seem to be very irregular since I have been diagnosed with it. I have also small cyst that is potentionally going to be remoed :(

Hello Missmochi, yes it is very common to have irregular periods when a PCOS diagnosis. I sometimes don't get mine for 3-4 months. If this is happening to you, it's important to check up with your doctor. It's important that your uterus sheds it's lining (a period) atleast 3 times a year. This can increase risk for cancer and disease if you don't shed the lining. Also, they usually don't remove cysts unless they are quite large or there's many, many tiny ones.
