2 weeks late.

ive been on birth control for between 4-5 years. i have been off since august. i have used nuva ring for about 3 years plus. i had on time normal period august, september, and october and im two weeks late for novembers period. i have taken 4 tests all negative. i took one last night and one this morning but when i came home and seen the tests they both had faint positives. they say don't read them after 5 minutes though. im thinking of testing again in the am or waiting 2 days. if still late by next week ill schedule a blood test. i think im having a few signs like small cramping, face break outs, gas way more than usual, feeling very tired, happy then depressed so much i could cry, headaches that come from no where but minor ones, low back pain but that's pretty normal, i feel very ugly along with eating A LOT, i just don't feel like im myself. i have extremely low iron too. i was thinkin my body was just adjusting to not having the nuva ring even though the last 3 were normal and exactly on time and when i seen the faint lines after work today i really got nervous. any feedback is greatly appreciated!

i used a dollar store one with pink lines, positive line that came up was light pink. but my other ones are blue lines and it looks faintly blue on both but i am not positive. i did get in today at the doctors and drew some blood so should have results tomorrow or the next day. i am so impatient so i can't stand this waiting game!

What color dye does your test use and what color is the line?

My understanding is that the blue dye tests are more prone to getting an evaporation line after the 5 minutes have passed. An evaporation line is actually gray, but it is hard to distinguish from the blue dye.

The pink dye tests though...if your second line is PINK, even if it is light...the test is positive.

You should test again in the morning using first morning urine and read the test within the allotted time to be sure. Any line that shows up after the 5 minutes have passed, is a evaporation line, not a positive. If you get a positive test, the line will stay around...I still have my two positive sticks from my current pregnancy and they look the same as they did when I took the test (mine went positive in less than the 5 minutes)
