Am I sick or pregnant??

I had a horrible night, I couldn't sleep because I was nauseaus then I got up to go to the bathroom and I started vomiting for like 10 min.  This morning I'm still nauseaus, cold and achy.  I'm also 13 dpo and I haven't tested yet.
I feel pressure in my lower abdomen, gassy, very sore bbs....and nauseaus!

Before I left my house for work, my husband gave me a hug and I had to get away from him because his cologne was making me even more nauseaus.

Help!  Could I be sick, pregnant or both?

Good luck and I hope you start feeling better soon. I wish that you get a BFP.... I wish I get one myself. 8 days to go before I can test. Try not to take any medication at this point in time.  Better safe then sorry!

Thanks! I hope I'm pregnant too, but I also hope that morning sickness doesn't feel as bad as I do now!

hope you are feeling better soon! certainly doesn't sound like fun whatever it may be. make sure to stay hydrated and comfy. your joints probably hurt cause of the fever, so hopefully the tylenol helps and you can be comfy once again.  as far as the medicine goes tylenol is okay but advil isn't. which is a bummer cause i'm an advil girl.

I know how you feel about the meds! That is how I am... But hunny you sound miserable.... It is definitely SAFE to take tylenol if (keeping fingers crossed for ya *SSBD*) you actually happen to be preggo! Hope ya feel better!

When I first got pregnant (before I found out), I got a sinus cold.  So it's completely possible to be sick and pregnant ...and have symptoms from both (tho I thought my crampy symptoms and nausea were from the cold, not being pregnant!).

Thanks Sweetangel!  I am the same way about medicine but my fever is pretty bad and all my joints hurt and I have a cold sweat, I had to take something because I am abolutely misserable.  I have severe diarrhea, I know TMI and I haven't gotten out of bed since I came back home.  Hopefully I'll feel better by tomorrow because I have to go into work, I have no sicks or vacation days left!

No medicine is ideal HOWEVER if you have a fever a fever could be more detrimental than tylenol.  I don't like to take any medicine whether I am pregnant or not but that is just me...I like to stay as natural as possible...Anyways, tylenol is generally considered 'safe' during pregnancy however ideally there should be none.  Take care of yourself!

Oh...poor mumita!  Keep the fever at bay because it can be bad in early pregnancy....Best wishes for a bfp and for feeling better...doesn't sound like morning sickness because of the fever involved...seems like a bug BUT could also be a bfp mixed in!

Well, you def could be pregnant, BUT, it sounds like you may have a stomach bug.  My husband and I had this last weekend and we got it from my 2 youngest daughters.  I was so tired of cleaning up.....well vomit.....sorry....TMI I know.  It was awful.

But with my last baby, I actually found out I was pregnant the first day of my missed period and I had a horrible stomach bug that day.  I was having your same syptoms but I also ended up with a fever by the end of the day.  It was awful, but I don't start getting sick from pregnancy until I'm about 6 weeks.  Then the nausea hits really hard for me.

It could definitely be BOTH.... I remember getting SO SICK when i first found out i was preggo..... So i had the morning sickness and a cold/flu It was horrible! Good Luck!! SSBD!!!!

I came home from work because I kept feeling worse.  My joints hurt and I have diarrhea :(  I don't think this is pregnancy related, I think I have some bad bug.
I think that I could be pregnant also since the sore bbs have been around since O.
IF morning sickness feels like this I have no idea what I'm going to do because I feeel misserable. I took some tylenol and crawled in bed.
When my DH comes home tonight I'll send him  to get a few things and get an HPT, I am suppossed to get AF on Thursday.

You could test and if it comes out positive, you can celebrate.  If it comes out negative, you can pick up that big bottle of Pepto and drink away.  I hope you feel better soon.

Sounds promising to me! I would just test. I just hope that if you get a bfp it doesn't get any worse for you! (morning sickness) You would only be a few weeks or so and garsh...its hittin you hard. lol I hope you get your bfp and feel better!

Wonderful! I was just looking at this list and I had really bad heartburn the other day..my doctor told me antacids are okay..so I took pepto...i feel awful now!!!! I hope I didnt hurt her at all!

My OB/Gyn office has a page on their website that lists meds that are safe to take during pregnancy, and it says that tums are ok.  Here's the link if you want to look at it.
