HI. Same thing happened to me, had faint thin vertical line that'll make it positive, but I only found out after 5 hours!!!!! Didn't wait 10 mins, I didn't throw it in trash bin though, just put it on top shelve and when i get back, & have a look again, God there is the very thin line. It was never happen to me before, never... never... every month I keep testing my self, and i throw them all in bin, but after so many hours or the next day i checked them, If there's any change (might God made a miracle!!!) Nothing at all...... So, I just stop hoping and hoping till last week, that something is not right. My AF is due thursday as well, but I haven't feel any sign its coming, only sharp pain in my BB few seconds and its gone. I wish both of Us a Loads of Baby Dust!!!!!!!!! Keep us posted. :-)
About a year ago I took a test and it was negative, I looked in the trash a few minutes later and there was a big blue positive. I wasn't pregnant, evaporation lines can be blue. I am not saying you aren't pregnant but I wouldn't go off of that test.
Get a First Response Early Response, they have 3 packs for about 13.00
Good Luck and baby dust to you
I hate to tell you this but I tookatarget brand test and all of them said faint poitive but they were negative!!! They have a high number of false positives! I would get a FRER test and test with a pink dye since the blue dye has a high false positive rate! The faint positive was also blue with mine! Good Luck and I hope they are true!
even if blue in color it can still be an evaporation line bc same thing has happened to me with ept when i through away bf looked at it following morning and had the faing blue but i was not pregnant at that time, so it is possible, but good luck.
FRER is pretty accurate with its results, it is suppose to detect levels as low as 12.5 , there are women who tested at 8 dpo with frer and got BFP(faint lines). They are the best ones to use when testing early.
I guess you will will have to wait it out, good luck and SSBD
thanks...i know it wasnt evaporation since it was blue in color. i will keep waiting it out:(
It's possible it is/was a faint positive, but it could also be an evap line since you read it after you threw it out. They also say to keep the test on a flat surface. So the circumstances of the test looking positive could have altered the validity. But, I did get a faint positive about 3-4 days before AF was due and I wasn't sure if it meant positive or if was an evap line, but it was a true positive (I'm now 6 1/2 months). My advice to you would be to wait until the day after AF is due. I had gotten that one faint positive and a NOT PREGNANT result like I said, 3-4 days before AF was due and the only reason I tested is because it was my anniversary and I thought it would be a nice gift to my hubby. But then I re-tested again with the same tests, the day after AF was due, and got the immediate positive and PREGNANT result. So rather than stress yourself out about it and spending money on tests, to be sure - test again either Thursday or Friday. I used Clearblue (regular and digital) for both tests also. I have never had any other positive tests so I don't know about FRER.
