It usually takes about 2 weeks from conception to show up positive for a test so you would of been testing in the correct time zone. As far as miscarriages go it is possible to get a positive test one day and a negative the next.
Also my cycles have been irregular since my m/c varying between 4,5 and 6 weeks my longest cycle was 6w6d. Therefore if i conceived on 20th nov could i have been testing too early?
how early can you miscarry as i done a test on 7th and 8th were positive and 9th and 10th were negative went to doc on the 10th told me to bring in a urine sample i took it in on thurs 11th but was told it wouldnt be sent off until monday 15th!!! i got the doc one bk on 15th which was negative and i havent tested since
When I had a miscarriage I miscarried the baby at 6w3d at 9 weeks I went to get a routine ultrasound which showed that the baby had died. I ended up having to get a D&C to remove the baby. Some times our bodies just take a really long time to do what they need to do. If you have indeed miscarried though you need to get it checked out ASAP since it could cause an infection.
thanks for your reply. All the tests i done were read within the ten minute time frame. The doctor only done a urine test as he said as i got negatives there wasnt much point doing a blood test :s i was thinking it was an early m/c i had one in july aswell i was 6 weeks pregnant at the time :( however if it was an early m/c would i not have started bleeding already as it is now just over 5 weeks when i believed to of conceived if i have at all?
Did you read the test outside of the 10 minute time frame? Usually when you get a positive it would come up right away and be a colored line (not gray) to indicate a positive. Did the doctor do a regular pregnancy test or a blood test? At this point blood would be a lot more accurate and may shed some light on what is going on. It is very possible that you had an early miscarriage which would explain the positive test and then the negative tests. If you haven't bled yet that could be that your body might need a little help which is why it would be smart to get a blood test.
