im am also hypo...i was hyper but when they killed my thyroid i went hypo..and while it was out of wack i was trying for ten months to get preggers!! The min it got regulated i got preggers!! SO good luck and im glad you found the reason behind it all...Wishing you all the best and i bet you will have no trouble getting pregnant now that you know whats going on!! If you need to talk pm me...i know a nice bit about it..ive been dealing with it for about four years now!!
Mumita - I would demand your thyroid gets checked. Afterall, it's only a blood test. I will be so happy if this regulates me a bit more. :-D
Rachjas0623 - Good luck to you as well! I believe I'm also on 25mcg daily. :-D
I was just DX hypothyroid 7 weeks ago. I am on synthroid 25mcg daily. This is my second cycle with RE. Last cycle I took 50mg of clomid. I did O, but from the wrong side. The HSG I had done showed one of my tubes is blocked. This cycle, I took 100mg of clomid. I go in for a follie check SUN. Hopefully, I am going to O from the good side this month. I just got a call from my regular Dr. my thyroid is now in check. So hopefully, that will help this cycle.
i'm glad you found that out, your body may start acting normal again. I have asked to get my thyroid checked many many times because I have a suspicion that its not working right BUT doctors always say no.
Thanks for the comments ladies! I feel like this could have really been the issue all the time, and I'm feeling hopeful that this will happen for me. I needed some hope cause I was feeling pretty down in the dumps. I'll also need to get used to taking a pill daily cause I've heard this is simply something that I may have to take the rest of my life. My Mom is hypothyroid too, so I don't know why I didn't think of this before!
I am hypothyroid too - It took me a little bit to get used to taking a pill every morning but now it's just what I do!
Thanks Laura! I'm definitely hoping so! I was googling symptoms of hypothyroidism, and ovulation issues are definitely one of them. I'm just so grateful my RE caught it! Last time I had an ultrasound, he saw I had many healthy looking follicles in my ovaries, and he didn't understand why they weren't dropping. It all makes sense. :-D
A friend of mine had the same problem and now they have 2 kids all natrual no help needed!
I am happy you got some answers!!
Now you can try and regulate that and maybe ttc will get easier!! YAY!!
