Class B is ok. I was just researching on a med they gave me for migraines when I was preggo with Tj and found out it's class C! (lopressor) that freaked me out a bit... but class B is safe!
Class B is safe, there is no reason to worry. I am taking a few class C meds because my OB knows my situation and he knows that the benefits outweigh the risks.
Class B should be fine! Get yourself better!!!
I have to take three class C meds everyday multiple times a day and my dd came out fine and the next one is on her way to being just fine as well. Class B drugs are pretty safe during pregnancy.
Thanks for your reponse. I thought about the fact that not taking it would only make things worse. It's just ***** that i've been taking antibioitics and medicine for 4 months now. With small breaks here and there because i thought i was getting better. I just hope she doesn't have any effects on them.
Thanks again for your advice. I'll take it. And prey i feel better.
You doctor is right. When the benifits of taking a medcation out way the risks then your doctor will allow you to take it. So my advice would be to take it. Also in regards to the medication being type B, it just means that there is a possiblity that it could harm the baby however, there isn't enough research done on it. So it's concidered safe. Also the only real time that you have to worry about it harming the baby is during your first trimester, because your baby will absorb so much more of what you're eating during that time. After that the absorbtion rate goes down signifacantly. So good luck and if it will help you feel better than I would trust your doctor and take it.
I am on a beta-blocker medication for my heart which is class B and it's fine. Most class B's are fine to take, such as tylenol, just means some might (might being the key word) get to the baby.
