Nipples slightly peeling

Hi everyone I just had a quick question. Yesterday when I woke up I notices the skin on my nipples is peeling, not a bunch , it is not hurting when the skin comes off, but I dont know what it is from. I am 5 weeks 3 days pg. and was wondering if this was a symptom. I have never had this will all 5 pregnancies. I might be going through another m/c right now, so I guess  am paying close attention to my body right now. Is it safe to apply baby lotion??? Has this ever happened to anyone??????

I've got the same thing and my doctor said it's normal and can be caused by the breasts swelling and growing.  So now worries.

Hope it helps, it is normal. As long as it doesnt hurt it should be fine. :)

I'm having it too, I talked to my OB and she said it was normal. I've been putting the lotion i use for stretch marks on it since its doesnt have any alcohol in it since i was afraid that might burn, she said that thats find but they dont know of anything that really helps. Using the cocoa butter lotion seems to help a bit but its still happening. So don't worry its perfectly normal.

I've had peeling and cracking since as long as I can remember in this pregnancy. I personally have tried a bunch of lotions for it and none worked. (that could just be me though) the best thing I've seen is when my breasts leak colostrum, (which is almost a constant thing as well) I rub that in and the peeling and cracking is gone. I've heard lanoshin (not sure if that's how it's spelled) is supposed to be really good for them, but I've not tried it yet. (I'm getting it soon so I hope it does) if you're ever worried about anything, always bring it up to your doctor and talk to them.
