OPK question

Hi! This will be my first time using OPKs.  I am on day 7 of my cylce right now.  When should I test?  The box says that for a 28 day cycle, I should start testing at day 11 (but my cycle has not always been 28 days due to hormone pills). I am just curious what others have done.  Also, after I get the positive surge, when is the optimal day to TTC?

Thank you for your advice!  Sounds like something I can handle.  I am so excited that I might get to be pregnant soon (again)!

If you can afford it, I would test starting from day 10 AND I would test two times a day...I used opks for 7 months and for awhile I was missing my surge BUT I knew I ovulated because I did bbt too.  BD the night of the surge and the next couple days if you can...if there are no sperm issues.

If i were you, i would test at day 11 and keep testing until you get a positve opk. Once you get a positive you will ovulate 12-48 hours after that positive. Some people have sex everyday until a couple of days after they actaully ovulate. Some people have sex the day they get a positive. It all depends. Some women are more fertile than others. My last pregnancy, i had sex the day after my positive surge and that was the only day and got preggo.(it ended in m/c june)  last cycle i tried every day, cycle b4 i tried every other day. lol still not preggo. Every other day is a good way to start, or once you get a positive have sex every day for the next 4 days.  Good luck
