I used bio oil at the start of my last pregnancy...crap!! was still soo itchy then started using astral cream...its only thing that stopped itch and I got no stretch marks. using it again this time...so far so good....its also important to moisturize after birth for few weeks
drink water like crazy! its truly the only way to hydrate all of your organs and yes your skin is your biggest organ! try creams all you want but water gives you the best chance of elasticity you can get :)
Pretty much any cream or oil will work, idea is that it softens your skin makes it easier to stretch. I would sugguest litely exfoliating helps them penitrate the skin better, I use rosehip oil an organic one. Also it depeneds if you believe in the dos and dont when being pregnant, they dont just apply to food but products to such as peppermint products, peppermint bring on your period which can cause miscarriges or early labour depends how far you are. Most pharmasist and beauty therapist are trained in the contraindications of products, essentail oils and ingreadients.
I use bio oil every night and so far I have none I am 35+2 I definetly think it works
My mom had but I never. I also didnt use anything
I used palmers cocobutter and their stretch mark cream every day ffrom 4 weeks!! Lol it did not work and I didnt use it spareingly lol.. Im now on the bio oil at 35 weeks my tummy is ruined but my mum got thrm bad.. Id reccomened bio oil as since I staryrd using it about a week and a half ago it has took some redness out! Id defo start using ut now u never no it might help a little in the long run.. Congrats and good luck :)
Just ask ur mom if she had them & that's probably what u will get since it's not preventable if its in ur genes!! I don't think if matters what u use, my mom said she didn't get any stretch marks on her stomach & she didn't use any cremes or lotions with all 3 pregnancies but did get them on her thighs which is what I have now & none on my stomach, I'm 14 weeks with my first! I was all for buying every kind of cremes but I'm over it, ill just let my body do what it needs to do & try to help it after my pregnancy! Good luck!!
Palmer's Belly Butter is what I used with my first pregnancy and this one. I don't have any stretch marks at all, except a few on my breast. The above posters are right though, it is hereditary and there's not much you can do except moisturize. My Mom had 3 babies and got no stretch marks either, so I assume that's why I have none. Hope the Belly Butter helps you:) and remember it will all be worth it when you finally meet your precious little one!
Nothing will prevent them. Its hereditary... you either get them or you don't.
Keeping your skin moisturized will help with the itch though.. there's not much you can do until after baby comes... I didn't get any stretch marks until 35 weeks.. and I oiled twice a day, sometimes 3 times.
After baby, you can get like vita k to help them fade.
Don't get depressed over them.. Bodies change during pregnancy and the outcome is worth the changes. (:
Try using olive oil after bath and before going to bed it helped me !
I tried everything with my first pregnancy u can try cocoa butter..but The reality is there's nothing we can really do about it... It's hereditary...
I have been using palmers belly butter and the stretch mark creams in the morning and the Bio oil before bed. it didn't help I still have the marks but still I haven't gotten more of them that what I got early in my pregnancy. The kicker is that when I started to get them, I hadn'treally gained anything. I think I gained 4lbs in the first trimester and 3 more in the last 3 months.
Or bio oil. I used the oil until I ran out then started using coco butter.
Coco butter lotion it has a belly on the front
