TTC

Hey girls!!! Just wondering if having a cold can affect me getting preggers? I got a really bad sore throat a couple days ago and it has now turned into a full blown cold! Ugh! I've not taken anything for it because I don't want to ruin my chances of conceiving. Just wanted every one's thoughts. Thanks!!

I would imagine the only thing that would be affected might be your partners willingness - LOL I know this last time I had a cold and hubby would not touch me and I was practically begging him.  A week past, the cold ended and I thought for sure we had missed O but bd-ed anyway the next week and here we are 38 days later and I had just gotten a positive over the weekend (I am 5 weeks 4days according to lmp). Turns out I O'ed late so I guess there is hope that if nothing else it may delay O so that when your healthy and everyone is willing you little egg will be their waiting! Good luck to you!!!

I'm not sure if it affects TTC but I do know that it affects taking a HPT! When I finally got my + last year at 6 weeks the only thing doctors could think of was I had a really bad cold for 2 weeks. And she said being sick can affect your hormones and taking the HPT. I was like huh! Interesting!

Sorry I don't have more info!
