What to ask the DR

I am 34 and never been pregnant. I have been trying to get pregnant for the last year with no success. I have been asking my Dr if there are tests that I should take to no avail. He keeps telling me nothing is wrong. My cycle is steady at 25 days, however my hormones are not right. I mean I cry for no reason, my hair is falling out and my fingers are always cold. I want to have kids soon but better than that I would like to have some conclusive tests to ensure my body is ready. What questions do I need to direct to my DR, because apparently I am not asking the right ones. Your help is appreciated . " Baby dust to you all"

If you have been trying for a year, you may want to talk to your doctor about clomid or some sort of progesterone.  I have not taken either but I work with several ladies who swear by both as aides in conception for those who are having a hard time.  Good Luck!

My first thought was thyroid as well.
You might request more tests be run, and may even request a referal to an endocrinologist to take a look at your results as well as get further testing if needed.
Good Luck!

Thank you so much for responding your input is so helpful. I did have a thyroid test about 6 months ago with my regular DR not my OBGYN and she told me it was normal.  May I ask you another question? With a thyroid problem did you find it difficult to conceive? Isn't abnormal to be 34 and to have never been pregnant - no miscarriages just nothing?
Thanks in advance!

Hi.  I am sorry for your frusterations.  I would definatly have him check your thyroid.  My thyroid is out of whack and it can cause all sorts of infertility problems, as well as miscarriage.  You definatly need that checked.  My hair falls out too and I am always cold, living in Las Vegas I love the 120 degree heat because it just warms me up!,You have to find the "right" thyroid med as I have had a few different ones that helped with the crazy hair loss.  BTW. I lose hair when I am pregnant... most women get lovely hair but mine is awful..  I am sure that he has ran a thyroid test but it if is on the low end you may want to see a specialist.  Thyroid levels can be different at different times of the month too.  Best wishes to you.
