Will I be able to hear my baby's heartbeat at my next appointment???

My next appointment is the 29th, at which time I'll be 12w4d, will they be able to pick up the heartbeat on the doppler by then?? I saw the baby and the heartbeat on Jan 2nd, when I was 8w5d.  It made me feel better for about a day and then I started getting really anxious again, I just worry a lot I think... well anyway will they be able to pick up the heartbeat?? I'm 5'4 and around 119lbs, and I know weight can sometimes be a factor if there is a lot of maternal fat..

Depending on if your baby is hiding around or not, you may or may not hear the baby.  But at 12 weeks it can definitely be heard through the doppler, I first heard mine at 10 weeks 2 days, so as long as your baby's not hiding all the way in the back or somwhere you should be able to hear.  GOOD LUCK!!!

Good I really hope they can pick it up quick or I'll start gettin worried, I remember when I had the ultrasound at first I didn't see anything and I just held my breath and then he just popped up lol.. my fiance and I have been discussing whether or not to rent a doppler, he thinks I'll drive myself crazy checking all the time.. he knows I'm so anxious about this pregnancy..

At my last appointment... last Friday, I was 12 weeks and 6 days and my doctor found the heartbeat and I was able to hear it. It was amazing. I am sure you will get to hear your baby's heartbeat at 12 weeks 4 days. One other thing that was funny though was that it took my doctor a couple minutes to find it and she said "sometimes it's difficult to find right away because I'm dealing with a mobile target!!!" I thought it was appropriate because a week earlier at my NT Scan, the baby was jumping all over the place!

It depends on the position of the baby, but from what it sounds like, there is a good chance they can pick it up. I heard my baby's heart beat around 13 or 13 1/2 weeks. Once you hear the heartbeat, you should consider renting or buying a doppler. It has really helped me get through days and helped me not to worry as much!

and if you are worried you can rent a fetal baby doppler where you can hear your babys heartbeat at home any time you want they are like 25/ mth :o)

yes i heard my babys heartbeat at 10 weeks and since you are 12 weeks I am pretty sure that you will be able to hear it especially if your doc has newer equipment
