Yeast Infection and 31 weeks preg - HELP!

I have a quick question. I think I might have a yeast infection. I have super itchiness down there - just on the outside though. No discharge. Has anyone taken over the counter anything for this while preg and what did your docs say about it? Thanks !

I went to the doctor for mine and was given Monistad 7.  I've done all the research and it's pretty safe for pregnant women.  But you should always call your doctor as it might not be a yeast infection.

Yes I took monistate 7  but I asked the doctor first but it didn't work and I still had it... so I took monistate 7 again felt better for a week...then got it again.. I couldn't get rid of it.. so they gave me a pill but my water ended up breaking at 37 weeks from it.

they say if you are going to do or take anything to check in with your doctor.  I had a number of yeast infections with my last pregnancy and I was allowed to use canestan or monistat.  if you are concerned, check in with your doc first.

yep! you can take the over-the-counter yeast medications, I took them once with my daughter (given to me by my OB) and I'm currently taking one too (the CVS generic version of monistat) for a yeast infection that was driving me nuts. You can ALWAYS call your OB and ask these kinds of things, but in my experience yes it's perfectly safe :).
