baby shower questions.. AHH

so my friend was supposed to plan my baby shower but then she got all busy and everything so ive been pretty much planning it myself. Cuz i don't really have anyone else to or anyone i would even trust to. Also i am due may 2. I cannot wait until the last minute so ive scheduled it for Feb. lol Is it ok that im not doing it last minute?

I don't think you are planning it last minute. It takes only about 30 days to throw a shower together - that's from my experience. Next, I don't know if you should be planning your own shower.Who will host games? That will seem odd and greedy if you do all this for yourself. Remember, showers are for welcoming baby and getting together with friends - it's not for collecting gifts.

Next, you have PLENTY of time for a shower. I am having a TON of showers thrown for me - it almost seems overwhelming just to attend so many events. I am due May 11th and my first shower will be in February. Personally, I think that is a bit early, but considering that I will have to fly to attend this shower for out of town family I dont want to be too uncomfortable sitting on a plane. I'm trying to hold off the other showers until March or April if I can. That seems like a more appropriate time. Your guests want you to be nice and round, super plump, and near delivery! LOL!

I had my shower a month or so before I had my baby. Some have their's earlier. To each their own. The only reason I had mine when I did is because my sister and I had ours together and the idea had been to have it before we were both due. (Her baby came a month early though, so that killed the idea) I'm not too sure about throwing your own though. I know some do, and it works out ok. I personally wouldn't, but that's just me and how I was raised. Do you have family close by that might be able to help out at all?

my grandma will be mainly doing the one for family so that one is taken care of. the one for friends though i don't have anyone that could throw it for me. i'm going to try the one person i can think of and see if she can do it though. its worth a shot.

thanks sunworshiper_26 :) i just want evrything to be ready when she gets here lol my family has a history of coming early too
