birth story .. Adalynn Elizabeth

So I went in yesterday morning at 6 am to the hospital to register for my induction. They then sent me up to L&D and got me settled in a room. They checked on baby for a little while to make sure she (41 weeks) was ok before we started. They started me on pitocin after about 15 to 20 minutes of monitoring. I didnt really start feeling good contractions until about 5 cm or so and I went in at a 2. I was at a 5-6 for about 3 hours and then decided to get the epidural. After getting the epidural I went to a 7-8 and from there it wasnt long until I was at a 10. They had me do a practice push and made me stop so they could get ready. 2 pushes and she was out. She weighed 8lb15oz and 22 1/4 inches long. Total from start to finish was a little over 13 hours. I tore upwards right beside my urethra (where you pee) so they put a catheter in so some swelling could go down before I would pee on my own. I didnt get her for a little while because her blood sugar was low along with her temperature not going up. They had to give her a little formula and then she breastfed for over a half hour and did some more skin to skin to try and raise her temp. She is doing good now just gettin blood sugar taken before each feedin until tonight. I got the catheter taken it and the first pee wasnt bad and I am walking around fine. No pain other than cramping from my uterus going back down. Overall good experience just like my first. Good luck to all the rest of you ladies :)

Congrats. Did they say why she had temperature control problems and why she had low blood sugar count?? I hope its not due to her baking a little longer
