Ok so I am 40wks4days and SO READY for my baby boy to be here and I've tried almost everything! I was just curious what if anything has worked to induce labor?? I am seriously starting to get a little depressed that he's not here yet I just need some input! Thanks in advance

Walk everywhere. Only thing that worked for me. I tried black kohash tea and caster oil. Nothing worked except walking oh and sex. Lol.

Sex did not work for me. Had to get my cervix stripped. a little painful but way better than being induced.

Ive been walking a ton! Sex is so weird lol, I've been trying it but I'm so scared I'm going to hurt the baby...I don't really know what I can and can't do? How do they strip your cervix? My problem was that the way his head is he pushed back my cervix so my dr couldn't reach it....could he still do it? Thanks ladies!!

Try drinking pineapple juice!!! Something in it causes u to go into Labor :)

My son was six days over due, I went bowling and fell right on my butt! A few hours.later, labour started lol

Hahaha I went bowling a couple days ago! I guess he's just not ready to come out! Is imagine falling down was easy the first time I threw the ball I thought I was gonna tip over lol

I don't know if this caused one of mine but i got off bus and fly flew in my mouth. Few hours later went into labour. Don't recommend walking around with your mouth open but it was funny.

A few people have told me to opt for a c section 1) is it possible if its not for a medical reason 2) is it really worth it I'm really scared of a c section

Some Dr will induce ur labor once u get close or over due but I don't know bout the c section thing. I think they only do that if its a must.  Not sure tho. U should talk 2 ur Dr and discuss ur options

the trick with sex is you have to  have an orgasm...otherwise no point (ever if you ask me)  lol!  worked for me every time!

C sections really aren't that bad. I was really scared of having one but after being induced and my labor stalled at 4cm for 6 hours I was just ready to have him out. But I am looking forward to my next delivery being a c section since it will be planned and done and over with. Don't worry. Baby will be here soon enough how ever he decides to make his entrance :)

I have an appt Monday so ill talk to him! Sex is just not fun for me I feel so gross and uncomfortable! I feel like I have the most stubborn baby in the world!!

Haha yep I know what you mean. I was induced at 39 weeks but he still hadn't even dropped. I wish I would have waited to see what happened with him coming on his own but he has always been a stubborn little boy so I'm not sure he would have come on his own anyways. But my mom did say that I was 2 weeks late. She tried everything to get me out and while they were in the middle of moving into a new house she finally went into labor. My mom spit out babies super easy though. I was her first and her labor was only a few hours. She started having contractions around 9am and I was born at 1:30pm. If only we could all be so lucky :)

Get your membrane stripped next Appointment, i didnt find that it hurt but i was dilated A bit already. at your next appp they wil probably discuss induction. Dont opt for a csection just yet. Vaginal birth is relly amazing. You should only get a csection if necessary

Castl oil did it for my lil sis, sex did it for big sis. My mother had me 1 1/2 month past due. At a wopn 12lb an i have to say noithn workd for her she was evn induc. Brok her pelvc bone an dislcd both my shouldrs to get me out wit no drugs at all. Hell of a woman, Good Luck hope u get your lil baby boy soon!!!

Walking didn`t work for me, sex didn`t work for me....He just wasn`t ready to come out.

The only thing that worked for me when I was pregnant was being induced. But the induction didn't work the first time. Had to be induced a second time. My son was 9 days late.

And then to help speed up labour, I had to have my membranes ruptured. AND the pitocin drip.

But unfortunately because of the pitocin, his heartbeat started dropping to an unsafe level, so I ended up having to have a c-section.

I'll definitely ask him about the stripping of the membranes cause Id like to go into labor naturally but it just feels like he's never coming out! I'm scared to try castor oil because I've read it can make the baby pass his meconium and he could aspirate it? And yes hell of a woman indeed, wow!! I really hope if I do need to get induced it works the first time, wow anything but natural seems like a lot can go wrong

I'd stay away from the castor oil myself, get your reflexology points done and if your bubs ready to come that will work as it stimulates your uterus into contracting, thats why you shouldnt have them done until you due, good luck

I would be careful about the castor oil... when it works it works when it doesnt it seems to only lead to the toilet... walking, sex, definitely get your membranes stripped... i cant say i found anything that worked for me but i would stay focused on the healthiest options :) here they do inductions at 10 days over... is it about the same there? i said that they should just automatically set your due date 10 days past as it ***** seeing your due date come and go... i feel for ya tho and cant wait to hear when this little one decides to show :) my daughter wasnt coming willingly and was a c section at 12 days over :) so i know all about the waiting game!
