I have a septated uterus - and the septum is long - almot the entire length of the uterus. I was very worried when I became pregnant - I had heard of all the possible complications. Thankfully, my pregnancy went extremely well and I have a happy healthy 19 month old biy today. While in utero, he grew well and the only complication was that he was breech - with one foot up and one foot down - and it was just too crowded for him to turn on his own. I delvered via c-section. They say with the septated uterus they will not encourage the baby to turn by pushing on them like they sometimes do - the risk of rupturing the uterus is too great. When my doctor did the c-section, he said my uterus was shaped "weird" he could not even describe it or compare it to anything he had previously seen. We guessed that my uterus just stretched anyway it could to accomodate the baby - and who cares if it looked "weird", it did the job right?
i was told at 6 weeks that i have a septate, and i misscarried my baby at 13 weeks. if anyone could give me some info on the surgery and the risk.....thank you
hi, i had a subseptate uterus and i delivered my baby girl in august naturally. i was one day off full term. i was lucky my baby turned at 29 weeks and stayed that way. i have to say it was a hard delivery but it was worth it.
