hi i am 6 weeks pregnant and i sometimes get a brown discharge which is really light. i only get it now and then. I just wondered if it is normal as i don't remember having this with my first child. thsnks

Hey! As long as the discharge is brown, me dont think its a reason to worry.. unless its too often and too much. I had, rather have the same problem.i m 11w, 3d and still get brown discharge sometimes. my discharge varies from light to dark brown but never towards red / pink. Good luck.

Hi. Sometimes spotting in early pregnancy is normal, brown is usually "old blood", and nothing to be concerned about but I would talk to your Dr. about it just to be safe and ease your mind.

It may be nothing to worry about, but as spade22 said, it's definitely best to call your doctor.  Technically, anytime there is bleeding, it is considered a threatened miscarriage.  However, there are some women who just bleed lightly during pregnancy and that is the "normal" for them.  Do you have any cramping?  I would try my hardest not to worry because the stress is no good for you or the baby, but I wouldn't ignore it either.  Best of luck to you!

Any time you get colored discharge during pregnancy its best to call your doctor to let them know.
