shortened cervix

I'm 24 weeks and last friday my cervix was at a 2.5. I go back to the doctor wednesday and I'm now a 2. I'm now on home rest only. Do people usually go into labor early when this is happening?

I had this same thing happen and fret being put on strict bed rest and medicine to stop contractions. I am now 38 weeks pregnant and been on bed rest still and baby is growing nice a strong. Good luck and I hope you have the sme experience as me! Best of luck to you!!!

Usually yes. Has there been any talk of a Cerclage?  At 24 weeks your baby has a good chance .I hate to put it that way hun but I'm just being honest. They say 1 day in the belly is 4 days in the NICU. So the longer you keep your Lil one in the better. I wish you all the best on your pregnancy. I know it's hard but try not to stress out to much
