Does it hurt when your doctor break your water?? I get induced Monday ftm so I don't know what to expect.

No it dont hurt when the dr breaks ur water but it will get strong painful contractions started.

Ftm too and haven't had my baby but a coworker told me last week that her contractions because VERY real once they broke her water. Not sure if the actual breaking of water hurts.

I got induced monday and no it doesnt hurt.it just makes a popping sound then u feel real wet and warm.i didnt have my epidural yet when they did it.good luck

I got my epidural before the Dr. broke my water when I was induced so I didn't think it hurt at all! But it was an odd sound. (Don't know if that helps) My husband told me it smelled bad but I honestly don't remember any smells but I've always had a bad sense of smell.

Oh wow that *****! Why is he inducing!? Well if u really think about LABOR HURTS ANYWAYS!!..but You can definetly expect to feel the contraction soon after...my prayers to you for a good labor and healthy baby please keep us updated!!
