carpel tunnel help please

Can it last all day? I keep getting these shooting numbing pains not just in my hands but from my shoulder blades down my arm it really hurts but is worst in my hand. My doc has been rather useless with info. Anyone else have this and are there any tips or tricks to get rid of it or ease it.

I'm pregnant with number 3 it was the first sign I new I pregnant.  With my other 2 it took a long while to come right after I had them. Try doing some wrist exercises to strengthen your wrists and braces. Try to spead out the jobs that make it worse pealing vegetables is the worst for me so I try to do them earlier in the day do I can come back to do more later. Sorry can't offer more help. All the best and hope yhe pain stays bearable.

The best way to reduce the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome is to keep your hands elevated while resting, using wrist brace and reducing any repetitive motions that require twisting, pinching, typing.

I've had it for weeks now. My thumb, pointer, & middle finger tips are constantly numb & my hands are swollen. I sleep with a brace. It keeps the swelling down overnight but nothing relieves the numbness. 2 months to go & I can't wait to be able to feel again. Good luck.

I've it my entire pregnancy. Thank goodness I only have 2 weeks left but it still may linger after the baby's born. It's mostly in my left hand and wrist. My ring finger middle finger and thumb lock up. It helps when I take a shower and let the hot water run over my hands if I rotate my wrists and bend my fingers just to work out the kinks. Also I sleep with my hand wrapped up in an ace bandage and it helps with the swelling.

While pregnant not a whole lot- I have it in my wrist and find a good wrist brace with the metal stabilizer is the only thing that helps- tylenol can help but not me so much
