Advice Please???

Has anyone been prescribed Macrobid for a UTI and had some really awful side affects?? Ive got a terrible headache and some awful nausea.. not to mention body aches. Just wondering.. Im considering taking benadryl in case Im just having some sort of reaction.  What do you guys think?

I had it and of course I had a student Dr and she didn't know that it would make my choleostsis worst either did I. I was a mess for a week till I went to my OB and he told me never to take that when I'm pregnant

I did! Started with headaches and progressed to migraines. Migraines so bad I'd throw up!

I told my doctor and she brushed it off as coincidence but they stopped the day after I quit taking it. It was insane.. I feel for you!

I would tell your dr, but I had similar symptoms. The meds can mess with your stomach, which can make your prego symptoms worse, which in turn makes you feel worse. Tell your dr, but mine eased up last couple days of meds.

I will try a nurses hotline and see what they say. Unfortunately I cant get ahold of my doc because its after midnight over here :(  But thanks for all the quick replies!!!

sounds like the uti is getting worse you should def call your doc.

Thanks ladies! Its after midnight here so I wouldnt be able to get ahold of anyone.  When I first started it I was fine, just a little nauseous. But I took my fourth pill today and almost out of nowhere I had a sudden and severe headache. My little guy is still moving up a storm so I know he's fine in there. But I wanted to see if it was just me or anyone else had experienced these side effects..

I would call your doc asap! I don't know if benadryl would help. Hope you feel better!
