I am hoping that I do not have to take them at all during this pregnancy as with my 8 year old I had to take them in 3rd trimester due to kidney infection and just recently my daughter had a water infection, two different antibiotics did not work for her, luckily the third cleared it up, I am worried my daughter has become immune to certain antibiotics due to me taking them in my pregnancy, it might not be that but it did put me off but it f you need them then there is nothing you can do
I had to take a round on a zpack for a respiratory infection, then two weeks later a round of amoxicillin for a gum infection because of a wisdom tooth. I am also very anti-antibiotics. My recommendation is to take a probiotic - like acidophilus or do the probiotic yogurt. It at least helps put back the good bacteria in your stomach the antibiotic is stripping out.
I took.antibiotic for cellulitious infection in my leg. Allergic to penicillin so they gave me keflex. I don't think it worked but the Dr was certain that it wouldn't hurt my little one.
Thanks everyone... whats been scaring me is that I started on one anti biotic and now have to switch because the one I started on made me too sick. Ive now had the infection for almost a month and when I saw the dentist yesterday she drained it (Ew, sorry for the TMI) and said it was very big. Now Im worried the infection could have hurt the baby. Id hate to blame myself forever if something goes wrong :(
Ps Dr. Google is the worst thing ever to ease your mind!
I'm am ANTI antibiotics.....but when I was 13 weeks pregnant I got a really bad Infection from a broken wisdom tooth and had to take them to kill infection before having it pulled. I'm now 38weeks and my Daughter is fine, although I was Leary. An infection in way more detrimental then The antibiotics.
I'm taking them right now for vein problems :(.... I was extremely worried to... but it will be fine momma... Docs know best infection are no joke
I took them for an ear infection and baby is fine :)
I was very sick in first trimester, bladder infection, chest infection, ear infection. I took them three times and the baby is doing great. The doctor said it would be safe and it was the only way to get better.
Yes, during my 1st trimester, I had to take antibiotics. It didn't harm the baby, nor did it give me any side effects.
