Castor oil

Soo I finally took the castor oil and OJ and OMG it's Soo gross ! Lol..  Literally a few seconds after Takinq it I felt the Baby start moving so hopefully it'll help me pop her out soon instead of being induced.

Who's tried it and how Lonq did it take to work for you ?

It's there a medical reason why your trying to jump start labor? Or why your doctor might induce you so early? If there isn't, why not let baby come on hey own? As a RN, you should know it's more beneficial for baby to come on her own.

I'm 37 Already.
And Yes I'm Still Tryinq To Jumpstart Labor.  Dr Said If No Baby By Next Week He'll Induce Me.
I Took The Castor Oil On Monday... Today's Gonna Be Saturday, So I Was Thinkinq Of Tryinq Aqain.. And Maybe 2nd Time Would Be A Charm?
I Did About 30 Minutes Of Walkinq Earlier And I Started Feelinq Small Cramps But Nothinq Major.  So I Don't Know :/  
I Just Wish She Would Come ....

Lol, I Was Scared It Would Make Me Sick Or I'd Have The Runs Lol... But I Didn't Get Either One(;  
I Mixed A Tablespoon-tablespoon And Half With About 13oz Of OJ Mixed It Around And Held My Breathe When I Drank It And I Drank Water After To Kinda Get Rid Of The Taste And I Was Ohkay (;

I tryed it with my second and it made me extremely sick and never worked I wont ever try it again lol

No It Didn't Work For Me :/
But For About 3 Hours Now I've Been Havinq Pains In My Vagina, Like If I'm Sore ? Idk What It Could Be ... If Any You Ladies Miqht Know ?
But I Did Start Drinkinq Raspberry Tea About An Hour Ago.

Didn't work for me...made me contact very hard for a couple hours, but never progressed into labor.

Yes its gross. Best way to take it is to shake it in the oj then drink it fast. Shaking it makes of frothy and hides the taste. I took it at 8pm and 11pm then started labor at 5am had my baby at 1123am

I did it and my water ended up breaking the same night anyway... However my baby did have a bowel movement inside and did inhale it and we had to stay in the hospital 2 extra days because she was vomiting it up and having issues... I wouldn't recommend it :/

I took it at about 4:30-5pm yesterday.. I did a few squats, I took a hot shower, did a lil bit of Walkinq, and I just felt the same... However when I was asleep I felt a lot of pressure on my stomach no matter how I Layed. So idk I never been like that... BUT I didn't get the runs(;
Most women said they got the runs when they took it, I didn't thankfully lol !
But when I wiped this Morninq after Peeinq I noticed a real creamy vanilla - yellowish on the tissue.. I lost my plug 2 weeks ago so I don't know what it was.
But I don't think the castor oil has worked for me :/
I don't know what else to do, my legs are Sooo sore from squats I can't do anymore.

ive tried it with my second child and it worked perfectly fine  I had went in labor the same night and it happened so fast i started contracting like around 12 am but wasnt to painful but constant so i just stayed in bed until I couldn't take it anymore omw to the car water broke got to the hospital and was 8 cm and had her at 5:45 am so it went so fast for me so I might be using it again with this 1 depends on how stubborn hes goin to be

Has anything happened? I'm asking tomorrow to be induced but if she says no I'm going to try it. And the ones that have bowel movements happen while the baby is in you are the ones that take it over your due date but going over your due date your already changing having your baby make a bowel movement in you.

As an RN your Baby can do a bowel movement inside of you at anytime. Not just cause you took castor oil.

I asked my doctor about this..she said absolutely not..highly against it because of the complications she has seen arise from taking it..

Yes what she said ^^^^ I wouldn't have tried it anyways just cause of the taste but after hearing that no way

It can cause baby to Jane first bowel movement which yes can make baby very sick. I believe that is what danahenly was referring to.

I read on the internet that you can take it with rootbeer and it almost takes the taste away. Just to let everyone know. :-D

I read earlier it can cause problems with the baby and the baby can get really sick. So id be careful

I tried it a few days ago and it didn't work for me. Now I'm trying the evening primrose oil. Hopefully it works. Good luck

I took it and in an hr my water broke. It was my due date and I had been walking having sex and nipple stimulation all weekend so I don't know if it was a coincidence or not. I did not get the diarrhea or anything from it either

Nevet tried it before but ive read its not recommended, specially if you are overdue, but good luck i hope it works =)
