Opiates in pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks pregnant and have taken loritabs and other opiates (such as Percocet, and roxycotten) throughout my pregnancy, due to back pain. I was taking more of the loritab than the other opiates but I weaned myself off at 5 months and didn't take anything until a couple of days ago.. i took about 2 loritabs and im currently 29 1/2 weeks pregnant, after not taking anything at all other than Tylenol for a month and a half... my question is if I dont take any more opiates and just stick to Tylenol for these last couple of months will the opiates be out of My system and my babies around time of delivery and will it show up on a drug test if they do one on the baby?

Well I don't know if it will still be in your baby's system if you stop now but either way you need to stop. Your baby's brain is developing lots of connections right now, you don't want those messed up by drugs. Get help if you cannot stop on your own.

Snorting a drug gets it into your bloodstream quicker and more of it than taking it orally. Whoever told you your baby is only getting a small amount lied to you and does not have your child's best interests at heart.

So You're saying it will still show up when they test the baby at after delivery even after going 2 1/2 months without doing anything?

I wasnt necessarily taking them, I was snorting them. I started become an addict honestly.  But I heard the baby doesn't get but a small dosage if any at all when opiates are snorted.  But I did take two orally in the past two days... I know from my Dr. Visits that things are going fine as far as they can see.. I just wanna make sure mine and my babies system are both clean when he is born so I dont get him taken away... I dont know what I would do if that happened... and yes I am ashamed for doing opiates!!!

And by a long time- I mean when he/she is developing in the early years. Drugs stay with the baby for up to 5 days. I stopped my medication for that reason

They test babies first poop and it will still be in your child's system. You need to talk to your doctor you are harming your child. If they aren't prescriptions you knew it wasn't good for the baby. Get some help

You took a few days off, but your baby didn't. The placenta breaks everything down slowly. That stuff with him/or her for probably a long time. I really hope you come clean with your provider b/c they NEED to know what happen if thers are complications.

No it won't show up.  It will be out of your system in 3 days.  You asked a question,  I'm not here to judge you.  No one knows your situation with your back pain or addiction.  Seek help if you need it.

Some doctors prescribes opiates during pregnancy, so it's not illegal.

Opiates dont stay long in the system. Theyd probably be cleared out well before then. However I really really suggest you seek out the help of your Dr. If its really "back pain" your dr would be the best one to seek advice from so you can find some relief for that, legally. So then there is no question even if you are tested the pills are prescribed to you by your Dr,  no trouble there even with the testing done at delivery. I personally wouldnt take anything other than tylenol as anything else runs the risk of birth defects and damage to your baby's health. Please seek out your Dr!

No they are not. I was only taking the oxycodone occasionally. . The hydrocodone I was taking a couple every couple of days in the first and second trimester. .sometimes I went several days without anything.. im just curios to know if the opiates will still be in the babies system when he is born if I dont take anything else the rest of my pregnancy. .

" will the opiates be out of My system and my babies around time of delivery" You know what you're doing isn't healthy for the baby and all you're worried about is being caught. How are you getting the script anyhow? ,be honest with your doctor. Tell them what you're doing/feeling and go from there.
