Ovulation+ Pain

Not sure where else to put this, so hopefully someone here has some knowledge about this. When I ovulate I get severe cramps, almost like miscarriage strong cramps. It lasts for a few hours unless I have sex. If I have sex the pain goes away, if I do not it lasts until the next day. I know its ovulation because i test with ovulation strips and when I start having the pain the tests are blaring bright red positive. I am not sure if this is absolutely normal, or if it could possibly mean something else. Anyone have this or know anything about it? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I've always had that. I might have to try the sex thing! Mine is crippling some months, hardly noticeable others.

Oh my gosh! Those are the worst! When I went off the pill about 7 months ago, I started to have ovulation pain. I was like "what is that!?" It hurt so do bad. Some months were worse than others. The dr said it was normal and to just hang in there. You're lucky though, my pain was even worse during sex. So that one time of the month when we SHOULD be having sex to make a baby was the most miserable for me because of the pain. I could always tell which ovary it was too. This last month was probably the most painful! It was my left side. I pushed through it and 2 weeks later found out I was pregnant! Yay! I will enjoy not having this pain for the next 9 months! Good luck!
