Quitung smoking..any tips

I barely smoked since I found out that I was pregnant on this Saturday..maybe like 3 cigs all together.  Does anyone have any tips or suggestions regarding  the easiest most common way to quit smoking? I love my unborn child and I don't want to do anything to he or she.... it's just hard

Just stop, I smoked for 10 years and as soon as I found out I was pregnant I stopped smoking. People use excuses saying oh the midwife said not to cause it will only stress me out more. But snoking can cause problems for ur sweet lil baby and u dont want that :-(

So I'm just a social smoker and haven't smoked since becoming pregnant,  but I get it. Just the smell of a fresh lit cig... Anyway,  so I read about it to see what the real damage is. Yikes! Apparently even ONE a day is the equivalent of making baby breathe through a straw, that's how much it cuts their oxygen from the bloodstream. That was enough to make me buy bubble gum and call it quits hopefully forever,  because it's so bad for the smoker, too.

I know that and I am really trying but I get so angry when I go without one. I mean like I will hurt someone especially my husband. He gets on my nerves and drives me crazy.

It will come when you start to feel other symptoms. I quit smoking almost 9 months ago and havent had a craving because of the pregnancy symptoms. It wont be as bad as you.

I too quit cold turkey. I went about a week after confirming my pregnancy trying to "wean" my self off.........I wasnt fooling anyone, just prolonging it. So After crying to my husband one night saying I felt horrible About hurting the baby he took the rest of our pack and drenched them under the sink and threw them away. That was 9weeks pregnant, we haven't smoked since and I'm now 24weeks. You can do it if you really want to. Just by reaching out in here proves you want to be done. Or else you'd just keep smoking. I loved smoking!!! And smoked ALOT, and now, I still would enjoy a cigarette like no ones business, but it is not worth it and the physical craving is loooooong gone. Best of luck!
