Weight loss after delivery....??

Ok ladies anyone else lose the weight crazy fast? A week after delivery I was already back down to my prepregnacy weight... at my 6 week check up I was down about 5 pds less. Now 2 months 2 weeks after delivery I'm down about 15 pds below my prepregnancy weight. I was 213 when I got pregnant more I'm like 199. I've been trying to eat better and cut out most soda and junk food.

Is this normal? Could my metabolism have changed?? They doctor said everything sounded normal at my 6 week checkup... just think it's werid!!

I didn't lose it THAT quick but pretty close... I felt like breastfeeding took any last fat I had remaining out of me! I was a skeleton...

I did want to say that I was a little underweight when I got pregnant and gained a LOT Of weight.  Pre pregnancy, I was the work out queen and didn't eat much.  I was the far extreme of healthy . . .   lots of exercise and not that much food.  Then I switched, lots of food and not a lot of exercise.  I've found that a happy balance between the two is best.  :>)  That's what I focus on now.  good luck

It's possible your metabolism has changed, but if you're breastfeeding that can be the cause. I was about the same as you (205) before my first, gained 23lbs and lost 20 within the first 10 days. If you subtract the weight of all the baby related stuff in your body it can add up to almost 20lbs too. For.example, my baby was almost 9lbs, plus amniotic fluid is 1-2lbs depending on when you delivered, placenta is 1-2lbs, and there's extra blood and water weight as well. Depending on how swollen you were during pregnancy you could have retained a lot of water and are just shedding that too.

If you have changed your eating habits and depending on if you are BF if could very possibly be normal. When I was pregnant with my first I was at 170 and I gained 50 pounds. I had her in 2011 and once I had her I literally did not lose any weight. AT ALL. I breast fed, watched what I ate and nothing. It has me really worried about what to expect after this pregnancy. So far with this one I have only gained 30 ish pounds and I have tried so hard to make sure I do not do what happened the first time. I am praying that this time it will be a bit easier to at least get back to this pre pregnancy weight and hopefully lose some more to get back to a somewhat "normal" weight for myself.

I lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks, but I think the main reason for that is I do not have as good of an appetite as I did when I was pregnant and I am so busy with my little girl that sometime I skip breakfast.

Its normal cause my second baby I started off 120 and lost lbs than I gained and ended up with 132 than after I had thy baby I was 115 right away. Thn lost another 5 lbs I ended up looking horrible. I felt so thin but I ended up gaining the weight back cause I had to. Im on the short side lol.
