I would get heartburn so bad during my pregnancy. I mean chocolate, apple juice, certain candies would aggrevate it. I drank ALOT of milk and ate dry toast. They both helped alot to absorbe the acid. And Tums.
Tums tums tums. :) the mint ones work instantly though I hate it.
I'm trying not to eat before going to bed and sleep almost sitting up. When it's really bad i take gaviscon and avoid acidy food like citrus fruits or tomatoes. Milky tea helps me sometimes as well
tums and milk helped. not eating at night helped too
Avoid eating food 2-4 hours before bed, don't move around a lot after eating, eat smaller more frequent meals (waiting too long to eat allows acid to build in your stomach) and you can also take Zantac while pregnant. For me it was a lifesaver.
Yeah, my ob has me taking zantac for my heartburn and reflux. I started it in the second trimester and its been a daily medicine for me since.
I know this sounds crazy, but this also helps with nausea, and its natural and cheap in comparison to tums: Application Cider Vinegar!
Yucky. I know ppl who've drank Apple cider vinegar to push liquid just to beat drug tests. Is that safe ? Vinegar is also how boxers drop water weight for weigh ins...
Apple cider vinegar???? That's different...thanks
Try to avoid sodas and the tums do help. I have had acid reflux long before pregnancy and changing the way I eat helped. I have hiccups everyday cause of it but I noticed eating smaller meals and more frequently helped too. Like 3 small meals and two snacks.
