Azulita -Yes I'm getting induced on Nov 12th my bday so I hope I'm dilated so she can *** on my bday
DUenov do you have a date already for the induction? I have a date but they dis not tell me about the process i guess it will depends if i am dilated at that time. I has never been check for dilatation so i do not know :-( i make 38 weeks today will be exactly 39 next friday for my induction
azulita-I'm getting induced due to gd also
Mine was 13 hrs from the time pitocin was started. Only pushed 1 hour, I had a pretty good experience with being induced
With my first 5 hrs and with my second one 13 hrs.
I have an appointment to get induced on the 7 because gd i would rather go on my own but is not a choice for me. I read the induction process is really good and fast if your body is ready and you has been already starting to dilate. It has less success if your body is not ready. If it is just an option do not do it but if it is for medical reasons i will do it and keep my mind open that i may ended in c section. The dr told me once the process of induction started it can not be stoped and you deliver your baby one way or the other.
When your not dilated your chances for a c section are higher si I say get walking, have sex and do squats
I think the difference is when your body is actually already dialated compared to not dialated at all. I went in dialated at 0 effaced at 0%. And it sucked.
So I'm guessing ppl that were already dilated had a better experience
I had an amazing experience I was at 4cM pitocin was started at 7am she was born at 1:03pm I pushed for 2 hours
BAbybrown were u already dilated
With my son I started the induction medicaion around 7 am they broke my water around 12 and had him by 430
I'm so excited that I roughly know when I'll get to meWtbs her but I dnt want the added pain if my body is not ready. I might refuse now
36 hours later I had my girl. My body wasn't ready at all. I was 41 weeks when I was induced.
Took me 22 hours for my first one to deliver ...good luck and no ots not bad if you have to be induced but I heard if you can go natural no inducing ita better bc labor isnt as hard on you
I getting induced due to my diabetes
I was 42 weeks when induced. Went in at 6 PM and was given the pill and strapped to a ton of monitors. Spent the night on the delivery table (way uncomfortable) didn't sleep and had to call nurses every 20 minutes to unhook me to pee. Doc came in at 9:30 am and broke my water and started pitocin drip. Daughter was born at 10:24 PM. Pushed for 2 hours. I was not allowed to get up and walk around.
I was induced with my first and I was in labor for ten and a half hours.
Depends on the hospital if they will let you walk around with pitocin or not. The pill is probably to soften your cervix. If you aren't dilating then I'm sure they will do pitocin. Will they not let you go over a little bit? As long as fluids are ok and baby is not in distress there is no reason you cannot go over 40 weeks. If you are a bit dilated I believe to a 2 or more they can break your water. I told my midwife this time no pitocin unless absolutely necessary. It makes your contractions much stronger than what your body does naturally.
I stopped at 9cm so my baby nevet came on its own had to have a csection.
I doubt remember how long it took but i remember how painful it was to be induced. I can't go through that again this time.
The Dr.induced me at 38.5 weeks because he thought I had a narrow pelvis and didn't want to let the baby get too big. I honestly had a great experience with being induced but you can tell by reading posts on this app every experience is different!
